Ruike (Erica) Zhang

Erica joined the UIW Feik School of Pharmacy in Oct 2024 after receiving her MA in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia University.  She holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from New York University Shanghai.  She spent her junior year studying and living in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Erica speaks Mandarin Chinese, English, and some Arabic.

Before joining UIW, Erica worked as a grader in Columbia’s economics department.  She also has two years of academic research experience in development economics.  She works with R and Stata, although her favorite programming language is Python.

Originally from Southwest China, Erica loves spicy food and San Antonio’s warm winters.  She and her husband Derrik enjoy video games, board games, and cooking together.  They are the proud parents of Cat Fink, the queen of the household, who enjoys brushing and catnip.
