Welcome to The Future of Pharmacy
Feik School of Pharmacy looks for students who bring both the necessary academic strengths (see pre-pharmacy requirements) and a larger sense of personal mission and purpose to pharmacy practice. Our curriculum trains pharmacists to thrive in multi-lingual and multi-cultural settings, and to lead other healthcare professionals in delivering the best possible care for all patients.
The Feik School of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy program acknowledges your need for deep clinical knowledge as more complex drugs emerge, as the population ages and grows more diverse, as more diseases and conditions require more complex therapies, and as pharmacists move out of dispensaries and into direct patient care with other health professionals.
Dual Degree Program
The Feik School of Pharmacy partners with UIW’s School of Professional Studies to offer a dual Pharm.D./M. A. in Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. Students may apply for this program after their first year of pharmacy school. The degree can be earned while pharmacy students complete their Pharm.D. degree coursework. Students enrolled in this program receive a reduced tuition cost for MAA courses. This degree will prepare you for roles as consultants, managers and administrators.
If you’re a high school student who is committed to earning a Pharm.D. degree, you may apply as a Direct Admit student. Consideration requires a cumulative high school GPA of 3.7, high school math GPA of 3.5 and high school science GPA of 3.5, a minimum SAT math of 520, combined math/verbal SAT of 1140 or ACT math 22 minimum score. Students need to maintain specific requirements throughout two years of undergraduate study at UIW in order to guarantee an interview for admission to the four-year professional pharmacy program.
