Dr. Porter is the IPPE Coordinator in the Department of Experiential Education and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of the Incarnate Word, Feik School of Pharmacy. She is also the founder of Porter Wellness Functional Medicine Consulting.

Dr. Porter completed her undergraduate work at the University of Texas Permian Basin and graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Incarnate Word, Feik School of Pharmacy in 2020. She became a certified functional medicine practitioner through the Institute of Functional Medicine in 2024. She previously worked as a community pharmacist for HEB and Town and Country Drug, an independent pharmacy in Odessa, Texas.

Dr. Porter is a member of several professional organizations including Texas Pharmacy Association, Functional Medicine Pharmacist Alliance, the Institute for Functional Medicine, Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society, and Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society. Her areas of interest include chronic disease prevention, the gut microbiome, and women’s health.
