Direct Admit Program
Admission Information
UIW invites exceptionally qualified high school students to pursue our Direct Admit option, which leads to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. The four-step process includes: general admission to UIW; application and acceptance to Direct Admit; satisfactory completion of undergraduate pre-requisite coursework; acceptance into the Feik School of Pharmacy.
This program is only available for first-time undergraduate freshman admitted to the University of the Incarnate Word interested in the Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.). Students need to maintain specific requirements throughout two years of undergraduate study at UIW in order to guarantee an interview for admission to the four-year professional pharmacy program. Successful candidates are eligible for scholarships starting their P1 year at the Feik School of Pharmacy, a waiver for the application fee in PharmCAS, and a waiver for membership fees due to the Pre-Pharmacy Association.
