Johnny S. Garcia, Jr.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Johnny brings over 20 years of experience in college admissions and a lifelong passion for higher education. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. Previously, Johnny had been at UIW's main campus and served as the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions. However, prior to joining the Feik School, Johnny served as the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Our Lady of the Lake University, and more recently, after stepping away from higher education for a few years, Johnny worked as a high school History and Government teacher at Jubilee Lake View University Prep. Teaching gave him the experience that further strengthened his commitment to helping students recognize their potential and pursue their educational goals. With a strong belief that higher education should be accessible and attainable for students at every level, he is passionate about guiding students toward opportunities that can transform their futures. He is excited to bring his experience, dedication, and enthusiasm to the University of the Incarnate Word's Feik School of Pharmacy and looks forward to making a meaningful impact on the next generation of pharmacy students. During his free time, Johnny enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, thrift-shopping, and watching sports. He truly loves being a "girl dad" and is a proud father of three daughters, including one attending UIW and another attending the University of Texas at San Antonio. Johnny is a faithful Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys college sports as well.
