Earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
The Feik School of Pharmacy (FSOP) was founded in 2004 in recognition of the need to graduate a new generation of highly trained, culturally-competent pharmacists and patient advocates to serve communities across Texas and beyond, with a special emphasis on underserved populations. FSOP offers an environment where faculty, staff and students function as a family.

Career Focused Curriculum
Students are more than a number and receive individualized attention through faculty office hours, faculty and student led tutoring and services offered through the Office of Student Affairs that include career readiness, job coaching and faculty mentorship.
- 4-year integrated course of study leading to a Doctor of Pharmacy
- Required Spanish Curriculum for Basic Patient Counseling in Spanish
- Optional Spanish Certification for Spanish proficiency in patient counseling
- 3 embedded certificates in PharmD curriculum
- Point-of-Care Testing, Pharmacy-based Immunization Delivery, Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services
Service-Based and Mission-Oriented
Our program is driven on the university Mission and service to our communities. Pharmacy students have dedicated over a million clinical hours a year to helping underserved populations by providing services such as immunizations, blood glucose checks and hypertension and blood pressure readings to the community at health service fairs across San Antonio.
- FSOP is the only faith-based School of Pharmacy in Texas with over 800 alumni practicing across the nation.
- Study-abroad interprofessional education opportunities are provided in countries that include Vietnam, Cambodia, South Africa, Spain, China, India, Ecuador and Australia.
- Students will have the opportunity to complete a one-week interprofessional medical mission trip in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Pharmacy students gain experience at civilian and military medical centers and community hospitals, community and school-based clinics, local nonprofit clinics, private and specialty practices, long-term facilities, research institutions, as well as many professional organizations.
