Jackoline Costantino, PharmD

Assistant Professor, Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Costantino is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Emergency Medicine at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills in San Antonio. Dr. Costantino obtained her bachelor's degrees in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. She went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Idaho State University College of Pharmacy in Pocatello, Idaho. She continued her training through completion of a pharmacy practice residency at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md., and a specialty residency in Cardiology at Advent Health Orlando in Orlando, Fla. Before joining the faculty of the University of the Incarnate Word in 2019, Dr. Costantino worked as a board-certified cardiology pharmacist at University of Kentucky HealthCare Albert B. Chandler Hospital as well as Adjunct Assistant Professor at University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in Lexington, Ky.

Dr. Costantino is a member of several professional organizations, including American College of Cardiology, American Academy of Emergency Medicine, American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, Idaho Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, Kentucky American College of Cardiology, Rho Chi Honor Society, Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity, and Phi Lambda Sigma. She is a board-certified cardiology pharmacist and her areas of interest are education and mentorship of pharmacy and medical students and residents, cardiovascular critical care emergency medicine, acute decompensated heart failure, infectious disease and pathophysiology. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, riding horses, playing the violin, globetrotting and attending culinary classes.
