Richard Haan holds the position of Assessment Coordinator for the Department of Academic Affairs, Feik School of Pharmacy (FSOP) at the University of the Incarnate Word. He is responsible for collection, analysis, monitoring, and reporting of assessment data for FSOP, in order to facilitate data-driven improvements in instruction and student learning as well as to address accreditation needs.
Richard’s job duties include working with the Assessment Committee; managing and reporting on the Master Assessment Plan; producing Tableau reports and assisting faculty with other data analysis; managing the ExamSoft portal as well as other assessment activities, including focus groups; and coordinating with UIW Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness.
Richard was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa., but spent the majority of his life in Tucson, Ariz., before moving to Texas last year. He earned a B.A. in Psychology (1987) from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and an M.A. in Cognitive Psychology (1992) from the University of Arizona. He worked in K-12 education for 18 years in various data management and presentation roles before switching to higher education in 2016.
