Faculty and staff at the Feik School of Pharmacy embody the ideals of professionalism, innovation, empathy, service and personal growth both in and out of the classroom. Over 40 full-time faculty members teach, mentor and conduct research and scholarship along with providing community service to the University and the local San Antonio community. What sets the Feik School of Pharmacy's faculty and staff apart is the genuine care for the development and success of each student. The faculty standard is to foster an environment of active learning in the classroom, with time dedicated to hands-on learning during laboratory and simulation courses. The faculty are passionate about cultivating and maintaining professional relationships with each student pharmacist through mentorship, taking time to provide individualized guidance, personalized assessment and one-on-one development. Outside the classroom, faculty are actively involved in student organizations, working with students as advisors to nurture and develop the leadership and professional skills expected of tomorrow’s health care team members.

There is a commitment by the faculty to lifelong development that hones academic skills and keeps faculty ahead of the curve with developments in pharmacy. They are actively involved in School committees and participate in professional organizations with many holding key leadership positions in university faculty governance, local/state pharmacy organizations and national pharmacy organizations. Our faculty allow us to maintain an excellent student-to-faculty ratio for close interaction and personalized instruction.

Part-time faculty facilitate instruction in some didactic courses and laboratories. This allows students the opportunity to learn from additional practicing pharmacists.
