Norbert Rosario, PharmD, BCPS

Assistant Professor, Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Rosario completed a bachelor’s in biology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina in 2018. Dr. Rosario has completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas in 2019, followed by an ASHP-accredited Specialty Residency in Ambulatory Care at University Health System in San Antonio, Texas in 2020. In addition to his residency duties at Valley Baptist and University Hospital, he also served as a preceptor and adjunct faculty for students at the University of Texas at Austin. During his Specialty Residency at University Hospital, he also served as adjunct faculty to UT Health San Antonio School of Medicine.

Dr. Rosario recently joined the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy in July 2020 as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice. He is currently establishing ambulatory care practice sites and working as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist practitioner at Magenta Health/H-E-B clinics in San Antonio, Texas. His areas of interests include ambulatory care (e.g. diabetes and hypertension), medication adherence, HIV/HCV, and transitions of care.

He is a member of several professional organizations, including Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, the American Pharmacist Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He is also a board-certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.

During his free time, he enjoys movies, paintball, hiking, playing with his three dogs, family outings and playing video games.
