Renée Bellanger, PharmD

Professor, Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Bellanger is the first named Professor Emerita at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy. She was tenured in 2011 and retired in 2023. She taught a variety of courses at the Feik School of Pharmacy. She was a preceptor for introductory and advanced experience rotations for pharmacy students in pediatric ambulatory care and international regulatory affairs.

Dr. Bellanger is a licensed pharmacist in Texas. She maintained board certification in Nutrition Support Pharmacy from 1992 until the end of 2022. She received a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Pharm. D. degree co-conferred by the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Harris Hospital-Methodist in Fort Worth, TX, and a residency in pediatric pharmacy practice at the University of Oklahoma under Dr. Rosalie Sagraves.

Dr. Bellanger has extensive experience in hospital pharmacy administration, clinical pharmacy management and directing pharmacy residency experiences for domestic and international pharmacists. Her specialty practice interests are in pediatrics, women's health, neonatology, nutrition and integrative medicine.
